Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Tennis team tried to bring themselves back in a Midwest Conference North Division match against Lawrence University on Saturday at the Strong Complex Tennis Courts but lost a tight 5-4 decision.
The Vikings took two of the three Doubles points to gain the advantage. Beloit's point came at #1 Doubles when Trina Capelli and Libby Storick came from well back to win 9-7.
In Singles play, the Bucs got wins at #1 (Capelli), #3 (Storick) and #4 (Emma Beck) in straight sets but couldn't get that last point to gain the win.
The Buccaneers have a week off after a busy first couple of weeks of the season. They are back on the court next Saturday, September 22, when they host Monmouth College at 3:00 p.m. at the Strong Complex Courts.
