Beloit, WI/Lake Forest, IL -- The Beloit College Women's Tennis teamk put on a few miles on Sunday as they split a pair of matches. The Bucs defeated Monmouth College 6-3 in Beloit in the morning before falling 8-0 at Lake Forest College later in the afternoon.
In Sunday morning's home finale win over Monmouth, Beloit came out of Doubles play behind 2-1 before grabbing five of the six Singles matches for the win.
The #3 Doubles team of Lily Rubenstein and Ashley Miglin won 8-0 to prevent a Fighting Scots sweep.
Putting the match away with Singles wins were Alex Hinck at #1, Taylor Jones at #3, Emma Beck at #4, Rubenstein at #5 and Miglin at #6.
After that win the Buccaneers traveled to Lake Forest but couldn't break through with a point against the 10-2 Foresters.
The Bucs have the week off before getting back on the court next Saturday at Carroll University. Action begins at 10:00 a.m.
