Sheboygan, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team saw a pair of very early goals hold up in a 2-1 defeat at Lakeland College on Tuesday.
The Muskies scored both of their goals in the first 2:57 of the match to grab the early lead. Simone Harstead cut the deficit in half with her first career goal at the 43:21 mark, assisted by Grace Reynolds, but that ended the scoring for the game.
Alex Spirov made three saves in net for Beloit. The Buccaneers won the shots battle by a 13-7 margin.
The Bucs look to get back on the plus side on Friday when they host Edgewood College at the Strong Complex Soccer Field. Game time is at 4:30 p.m.
