Watertown, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team turned up the defense on Monday and came away with a 3-1 win at Maranatha Baptist Bible College.
The Buccaneers outshot the Eagles 19-1, with Willow Maqcy getting the win in net despite not getting a save.
Three different Bucs provided the offense. Caitlin Paterson continued her hot streak, getting Beloit on the board at 37:15, the lone goal of the opening half. Kirsten Takaki scored five minutes into the second half to make it 2-0 before MBBC cut the lead in half at 56:29. But Erin Chambers iced it at 76:02.
The Bucs have a day before hosting Wisconsin Lutheran College at the Strong Complex Soccer Field on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. for Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day. They then open Midwest Conference play on Saturday at Cornell College.
