Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team, playing short-handed due to injuries, dropped a 3-0 decision to St. Norbert College at the Strong Complex Field on Saturday afternoon.
The match was designated as part of the Midwest Conference's "Play for the Cure" Day.
The Green Knights struck early, just eight minutes into the contest, to take a 1-0 lead. They added a second goal at the 14:00 mark and led 2-0 at the break.
St. Norbert closed out the scoring four minutes into the second half for the final 3-0 score.
Alex Spirov made 12 saves in net for the Bucs. SNC had 37 shots to Beloit's seven.
The Buccaneers have little time to think about the loss with two MWC matches on the road this week. They play at Carroll University on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. and at Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
