Ripon, WI – The Beloit College Women’s Soccer team is picked to finish ninth in the Midwest Conference Preseason Women’s Soccer Poll, released today by the Conference office.
Defending MWC Champion Carroll University, with four first-place votes, narrowly nipped Lake Forest College, who also had four first-place votes, for the top spot in the poll. St. Norbert received the final first-place vote and was third.
Defending MWC Tournament Champion Lawrence University was fourth in the poll followed by Monmouth, Grinnell, Ripon, Illinois College, Beloit and Knox.
Beloit finished 3-12-2 overall last season, 0-7-2 in MWC play.
Liz Bartley begins her sixth season as head coach when the Buccaneers open their season on Thursday, September 1, at Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Illinois. They have their home opener on Sunday, September 4, against Edgewood College at the Strong Complex Soccer Field at 12:00 noon. They open MWC play on Thursday, September 15, against Lake Forest at the Strong Complex.
