Mt. Vernon, IA -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team suffered through a five-goal run and fell at Cornell College 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.
After the Rams had taken the lead on a goal just under the nine-minute mark of the game Molly Dickson tied it up for the Buccaneers four minutes later with the first of her two goals.
But, starting at the 17:12 mark, CC proceeded to run off five unanswered goals, a stretch that extended 20 minutes into the second half, to forge a 6-1 lead with 25 minutes left in the game.
Ariana Espinoza scored her first collegiate goal, unassisted, at 70:15 before Dickson got her second goal of the match at 74:03 to close out the scoring.
The Buccaneers head back into Midwest Conference play on Thursday when they host Illinois College in a 2:00 p.m. match at the Strong Complex Soccer Field.
