Waukesha, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team hung with Midwest Conference leader Carroll University for a half but fell to a second half barrage in a 5-0 loss in Waukesha on Wednesday night.

The Pioneers are ranked eighth in the North region in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.

CU got their first goal at the 35:10 mark of the opening half and led by that goal at the break.

The Pioneers then turned it up several notches in the second half, scoring at 47:15, 53:29, 67:38 and 73:09 to put the game out of reach.

Katie Schurr made 14 saves in net for the Bucs.

Beloit will look to rebound this weekend in their final home games of the season, hosting Knox College on Saturday and Lake Forest College on Sunday. Both games begin at 1:00 p.m.
