Milwaukee, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team rode a pair of goals by Anna Blankschien to a 2-1 win over UW-Platteville in the opening game of the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warrior Cup in Milwaukee on Friday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening half, Blankschien broke the ice with her first score 20 minutes into the second half. The assist went to Molly Dickson.
UWP tied it up at 1 apiece in the 80th minute before Blankschien struck again, this time with just over four minutes left that proved to be the game-winner. Clare Loxterkamp earned the assist.
Katie Schurr got the win in net.
The Buccaneers continue play in the Warrior Cup on Saturday when they take on the host school at 5:00 p.m.
