Waukesha, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Basketball team never got going in a 76-37 loss at Carroll University on Tuesday night.
The Pioneers jumped out to an 11-4 lead three minutes into the game and never looked back. They led 30-10 at the 7:09 mark and, after a 10-5 run by the Buccaneers cut the deficit back to 15, 35-20 at the break.
CU came out of halftime on a 13-5 run to move up by 31 midway through the second half and used a 10-1 run to move up 67-26 with 8:17 remaining. The biggest lead reached 43 at the 6:17 mark, 69-26.
Nora Polaski scored nine points to lead the way followed by Lana Wieseman with eight and Kelsey Horvath with seven. The Bucs shot 32.5% from the floor on the night.
Beloit has a week before they return to the home court for the first time in a month, hosting St. Norbert College on Wednesday night, January 22. Action begins at 7:30 p.m.
