Shooting Woes Hurt Bucs in Loss to Lake Forest

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Basketball team was battling but went into a shooting funk in the last ten minutes of the opening half and Lake Forest took full advantage on the way to a 95-64 win in Flood Arena on Saturday afternoon.

LFC led from the opening tip but the key point of the game came with under ten minutes left in the first half.  Beloit trailed 16-12 with 9:50 left before the Foresters took off on a game-changing 15-3 run over the next four minutes to take a 31-15 lead.  They kept their double-digit advantage throughout the remainder of the half and led 43-26 at the break.

Beloit shot 33% in the first 20 minutes while committing 14 turnovers.

Lake Forest kept the roll going into the second half, moving up by 20 points at the 18:56 mark.  The Buccaneers never got closer than 13 the rest of the way, that at 52-39 with 15:21 remaining.  LFC's largest lead was 91-57 with 2:34 left.

Kandace Fox had 20 points on 8-11 shooting from the field, including 4-4 from three-point.  Lauren McNanna chipped in 11 while Claire Bush had career highs with nine points and six rebounds.

Beloit has a week before getting back on the court next weekend, opening a three-game road trip at Grinnell College on Friday night.  Tipoff is at 5:00 p.m.
