De Pere, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Basketball fell behind early and never got back into it in an 87-58 loss at St. Norbert College on Wednesday night.
The Green Knights jumped out to a 22-8 lead 11 minutes into the game and led by double digits throughout. The Bucs had a 7-2, two-minute run to pull back to within 12 but SNC closed the half on an 11-4 run to lead 40-21 at the break.
St. Norbert never let up in the second half, opening the second 20 minutes with a 16-7 run to move ahead 56-28 at the 13:00 mark. The lead swelled to 67-33 with 9:47 before Beloit put together a 19-8 run to close the gap to 23 at 75-52 with 3:57 remaining. But that's as close as they'd get.
Lauren McNanna had 13 points to lead the way while Jenna Larsen added ten. Kandace Fox had nine points and seven rebounds and Faith Jones nine with six rebounds.
The Bucs return to Flood Arena for the first time since their season opener on Friday night when they host Mount Mary College in a 7:00 p.m. game.
