Jacksonville, IL -- The drive was a long distance so the Beloit College Women's Basketball team continued the theme into their Midwest Conference game at Illinois College on Friday night on the way to a 72-59 win.
Three Bucs hit at least four three-pointers and the team totaled 15 for the game.
The first half was close, with IC holding a largest lead of five points and Beloit four, until the Buccaneers got a little breathing room at the end of the half for a 34-31 lead going into the lockerroom.
The Bucs then broke away in the first ten-plus minutes of the second half, going on a 21-7 run to take a 55-38 lead with 9:10 remaining. The Lady Blues never got closer than eight the rest of the way.
