Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Basketball held serve with conference leader Ripon College to the end. But the Redhawks converted six free throws in the final minute to seal a 73-66 win in Flood Arena on Tuesday night.

RC jumped out of the gate quickly and built a eleven-point advantage at 19-8 eight-plus minutes in. But Beloit kept chipping away and out-scored Ripon 24-15 the rest of the half to trail by just 34-32 at the break.

The Red Hawks opened the second half with a 7-0 run to push their lead back to seven but, again, the Bucs kept fighting and finally took their first lead of the game at the 4:59 mark at 59-58, completing an 8-1 run on a pair of free throws by Mary Parker.

The score stayed tight into the final minute until, with a 67-66 lead, RC hit six straight free throws while holding the Buccaneers scoreless for the win.

Sarah Stariha led Beloit with 15 points while Amanda Moore and MacKenzie Hilliard each had 11. Moore also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

The Buccaneers close out their four-game homestand this weekend when they host Knox College on Friday night at 5:00 p.m. and Grinnell College on Saturday at 1:00 for Senior Day.
