Buccaneers Split Pair of Matches at MSOE Quad

Milwaukee, WI -- The Beloit College Volleyball team had their final tune-up before Midwest Conference play gets going this week when they split two matches at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Quad on Saturday.

The Bucs defeated Mt. Mary College 3-1 (11-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-17) before falling to the host school 3-0 (25-19, 25-10, 25-22).

Molly Schulting had 11 kills in the win over Mt. Mary while Rachel Skoza added nine.  Schulting also had five blocks.  Carolyn Stransky handed out 24 set assists and Brooke Kahl had 19 digs.

Against MSOE four players had three kills to lead the attack.  Stransky had 10 assists while Julianne Gruenhagen made 11 digs.

Beloit opens MWC play on Wednesday night at Lake Forest College at 7:00 p.m. and then travels to Ripon College on Friday night for a 7:00 p.m. match.
