Waukesha, WI -- The Beloit College Volleyball team couldn't break through in dropping a 3-1 decision at Carroll University in a Midwest Conference match on Wednesday night.
The Pioneers took the match 25-18, 31-29, 23-25, 25-21.
Carroll pulled away from a close set early with a 14-6 run to take the opening set. The Bucs led 24-20 in the second set and had three set points only to see CU rally for the win in set #2.
Beloit scored the final two points in the third set to hold on in their lone win of the night. The Pioneers pulled away from a 17-all tie to take the fourth set and the match.
Megan Slavish had 13 kills while Rachel Skoza had 10 to lead the attack. Carolyn Stransky had 35 assists. Julianne Gruenhagen had 33 digs to lead the defense.
The Buccaneers finally return to Flood Arena on Friday night when they host St. Norbert College in another MWC match. Action begins at 7:00 p.m.
