Jacksonville, IL -- The Beloit College Volleyball team opened well but dropped the next three sets in a 3-1 loss at Illinois College on Saturday afternoon.
IC won the match 22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.
The Buccaneers broke away from a 15-all tie in the first set with four straight points and held that advantage for the win.
The middle two sets both saw the Lady Blue use runs in the middle of the set to gain the advantage - a four-point run in the second set and a five-point run in the third set.
In the fourth and final set Illinois College scored five of the last six points to secure the match win.
Molly Schulting, Rachel Skoza and McKenzie Falker each had eight kills in the match. Carolyn Stransky has 25 assists while Julianne Gruenhagen had 21 digs and Megan Slavish 20.
The Bucs now have an extended time off, not competing until the Coe Triangular in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday, October 7.
