Ripon, WI -- Caitlin O'Leary, a senior setter for the Beloit College Volleyball team from Walworth, Wisconsin, has been named the Midwest Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending October 17. The Conference Office announced the honor on Tuesday afternoon.
In a 3-0 week for the Buccaneers, O'Leary had 116 assists, averaging 9.67 per set, to move into second in career assists for Beloit with 3,504. She is just the second Beloit player with 3,500 or more in her career. She also had eight kills, three service aces, 50 digs and five block assists during the week. For the season she is averaging 31.7 assists per match and also has 21 service aces, 226 digs, 32 total blocks, and 40 kills with a .266 kill percentage.
The Buccaneers host UW-Stevens Point and UW-Stout on Saturday in Flood Arena beginning at noon for Friends and Alumni Day.
