Albion, MI -- The Beloit College Volleyball team traveled well East to find a pair of non-conference opponents and are coming back with a pair of wins after topping St. Mary's College of Indiana 3-1 and the host school Albion College of Michigan 3-0 on Saturday.
The Bucs opened with their win over St. Mary's, dropping the first set 25-15 before closing out the match 25-16, 25-13, 25-13.
Mary Parker, Laura Toth and Tess Jacquez each had nine kills to lead the attack. Caitlin O'Leary had 30 assists while Parker added 26 digs. Leah Kruckman had six blocks and Emma Kozera five.
Against Albion Beloit posted a 25-23, 25-20, 25-12 victory.
Parker had 12 kills and Jacquez 11. O'Leary had 31 assists while Margo Regier had 18 digs. Toth led the team with five blocks.
O'Leary's 61 assists on the day give her 3,388 for her career, putting her 97 away from moving into the #2 spot in the Beloit Record Books.
The Buccaneers get back into Midwest Conference play on Wednesday night with a trip to Grinnell College. Action begins at 7:00 p.m. and can be viewed on MWCTV.
