Bloomington, IL -- The Beloit College Volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday to finish 1-3 at the Illinois Wesleyan University Classic.
The Bucs fell to Concordia University of Wisconsin 3-1 in their opening match, winning the first set 25-21 before dropping the last three 25-22, 25-17, 27-25.
In their second match against Cornell College, the Buccaneers rallied from a two-set hole with win in the third and fourth sets only to drop the match 15-8 in the fifth set. Scores were 25-12, 25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 15-8.
Laura Toth earned a spot on the six-person All-Tournament Team.
Beloit is now off until Friday when they make their 2010 home debut in the Buc Blast Tournament. The Bucs open with UW-Marathon County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and also play William Penn University at 6:30 p.m. Friday. They have two more matches on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
