Bloomington, IL -- The Beloit College Volleyball team went 1-1 on the first day of the Barker Chevrolet Volleyball Classic at Illinois Wesleyan University on Friday.
The Buccaneers opened with a 3-1 win over Benedictine University, taking three straight sets after falling in the opening set. Scores of the tight match were 19-25, 25-22, 26-24, 29-27.
Beloit then fell to the host school 3-0, dropping the three sets 19-25, 18-25, 12-25.
The Bucs have two more matches at the Tourney on Saturday, taking on Concordia University of Wisconsin at 12:15 p.m. and Cornell College at 2:30 p.m.
