Bucs Continue Drive to MWC Meet at Platteville Invite

Track-Starting BlocksPlatteville, WI -- The Beloit College Track & Field team continued their weekly preparations for the Midwest Conference Indoor Championships at the non-scoring UW-Platteville Invite on Saturday.

Felicia Carlson continued her outstanding running, winning both the 60m and 200m to lead the way.

Other top-eight individual finishes for Beloit were turned in by Emma Koenig, fourth in the 3000m; Ellie Waddle, fifth in the 800m; Emily Sneed, sixth in the 5000m; Kelsi Brooks, seventh in the 5000m; and Peter Siess, eighth in the 400m.

The Women's 4x200 Relay of Carlson, Rasheda Hughes, CJ Cochran and Waddle was third, as was the Men's 4x200 Relay of Lukeson Versulien, Siess, Matt Kreiser and Antonio Jones.  The Women's 4x400 Relay of Waddle, Cochran, Carlson and Camilla Jackson was sixth.

The Buccaneers have their final tune-up for the MWC Meet next weekend at the UW-Stevens Point Eastbay Invite in Stevens Point.  Action gets underway Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m.
