Kenosha, WI -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team had several good performances at the UW-Parkside Classic on Saturday, with the Women's team finishing third and the Men's tenth.
Felicia Carlson kept up her early-season run, winning the 55m, 200m and Long Jump to pace the Bucs, breaking the school record in the 200m with a :26.24. She topped the record of :26.40 set by Shanishka Bain in 2004.
Nadia Hecker-O'Brien was second in the 400m; Matt Floyd was second in the Pole Vault; and Rachel Monroe second in the Triple Jump.
Also scoring points for Beloit were Sudan Garner, third in the 400m; Margaret Cress, fourth in the 1000m; CJ Cochron, fourth in the 400m; Lukeson Versulien, fourth in the 200m; Anna Wenzel, sixth in the 3000m; Karly Clippinger, sixth in the 55m Hurdles and eighth in the High Jump; Erika Moen, sixth in the Weight Throw; Joseph Skurski, seventh in the 3000m; Sara DeLong, seventh in the Mile; Alex Hinck, seventh in the 600m; George Gray, seventh in the High Jump and eighth in the 1000m; and Myles Schneider, seventh in the Shot Put.
The Buccaneers are back in action next Saturday at the Knox Indoor Open in Galesburg, Illinois. Action begins at 11:30 a.m.
