Indoor Track Runs 6th and 7th in Final Tuneup for MWC Championships

Dubuque, IA -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team had their final tuneup before next weekend's Midwest Conference Championships, with the Men finishing sixth and the Women seventh at the A.Y. McDonald Invitational at the University of Dubuque Saturday.

Amani Edwards led the individual performances with a second in the Shot Put and a fourth in the Weight Throw.  

Other individual point earners were Elizabeth Peckham, seventh in the Pole Vault; Rachel Monroe, third in the Long Jump; Erika Moen, eighth in the Weight Throw; Kenny Williams, fifth in the High Jump and eighth in the 400m; and Myles Schneider, fifth in the Weight Throw and seventh in the Shot Put.

The Women's 4x200 Relay finished third while the Men got a second in the 4x800 Relay, a sixth in the 4x200, and a seventh in the 4x400m.

The Buccaneers begin action at 2:00 p.m. next Friday at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois, and resume at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
