Milwaukee, WI -- The Beloit College Track & Field teams both brought home fifth-place finishes from the Wisconsin Private Schools Meet, held on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Travis Towns led the way with a win in the Javelin while Eric Koenig placed second in the 5000m and Matt Pitz second in the 10000m.
Kenny Williams recorded a third in the 400m Hurdles, Amani Edwards was third in the Shot Put and Erika Moen third in the Discus. Catherine Jensen tied for third in the High Jump.
The Men's 4x400m Relay squad of Aaron Joiner, Williams, John Wildauer and Peter Siess was also third
Fourth-place finishes were turned in by Matt Floyd in the Pole Vault and the Women's 4x400m Relay team of Kiera Hayes, Camilla Jackson, Rasheda Hughes and Alex Hinck.
Fifths went to Edwards in the Hammer, Hayes in the 100m and Geneva Schulz-Welo in the 5000m, as well as the Women's 4x100m Relay of Erin Chambers, Ellie Daniels, Hinck and Jenny Gilbertson.
Also scoring points were Myles Schneider, seventh in the Shot Put; Kate Finman, sixth in the Pole Vault; Elizabeth Peckham, seventh in the Pole Vault; Matt McKay, sixth in the 3000m Steeplechase; Josh Litofsky, seventh in the 3000m Steeplechase; Hughes, sixth in the 100m; and Mat Kahl, sixth in the 100m.
The Men's 4x100m Relay of Abdi Ali, Joiner, Nolan Byrom and Kenny Andejeski finished sixth.
The Buccaneers have their final tune-up before the Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships next Saturday at the Wisconsin Twilight Meet in Madison. Action begins at 2:00 p.m.
