Conway, SC -- The Beloit College Track & Field team opened their 2011 season at the Coastal Carolina University Invitational on Friday and Saturday following a week of training in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The meet was non-scoring. It featured numerous NCAA Division I teams among the competitors.
Top performances turned in by the Bucs included the Men's 4x200m Relay team of Mat Kahl, Vince Salucci, Nolan Byrom and Kenny Williams finished sixth; Travis Towns finished seventh in the Javelin; the Men's 4x800m Relay of Eric Koenig, Jason Busack, Matt McCayand Aaron Joiner finished eighth; Matt Floyd finished eighth in the Pole Vault; and Erika Moen finished ninth in the Discus.
Beloit begins its Northern season next Saturday at the Augustana College Early Spring Opener in Rock Island, Illinois.
