Women Wind Up 7th, Men 8th as MWC Indoor's Conclude

Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field teams had no change from their Day One standings as the Midwest Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships finished up at Grinnell College on Saturday.  The Women's squad was seventh and the Men's team eighth.

Amani Edwards, who earned the lone All-Conference honor for the Buccaneers with a third in the Shot Put on Friday, also had the top finish on Saturday with a fourth in the Weight Throw.

Also getting individual team points for Beloit on Saturday were Kate Finman, eighth in the Pole Vault; Terrance Steward, eighth in the 55m; Kenny Williams, eighth in the 400m; Derek Carrier, eighth in the Long Jump; and Myles Schneider, seventh in the Weight Throw.

The Women's Distance Medley Relay of Camilla Jackson, Kiera Hayes, Alex Hinck and Geneva Schulz-Welo were fifth; the Women's 4x400m Relay of Hayes, Rasheda Hughes, Hinck and Jackson were seventh; the Men's Distance Medley Relay team of Malcolm Yates, Aaron Joiner, Peter Siess and Eric Koenig were sixth; and the 4x400m Relay of Williams, Joiner, Jackson Wilkins and Siess were also sixth.

The Buccaneers now turn their attention to the Outdoor season.  They will train in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, during Spring Break, March 5-10, and compete in the Coastal Carolina University Invite in Conway, South Carolina, on March 11-12.
