Buccaneers Compete at Dubuque Open in Final Tune-Up for MWC's

Dubuque, IA -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field teams had their final tune-up for the Midwest Conference Championships at the University of Dubuque Spartan open on Saturday.

Terrance Steward posted the best individual finish for Beloit in the non-scoring meet with a second in the 55m.  He also finished fourth in the 200m.  Derek Carrier was fourth in the 55m and seventh in the Long Jump.

Amani Edwards had a sixth in the Weight Throw and a seventh in the Shot Put.

Also recording top-eight finishes were Elizabeth Peckham, fifth in the Pole Vault; Ellie Daniels, seventh in the Long Jump; Myles Schneider, seventh in the Weight Throw; Kiera Hayes, eighth in the 400m; and Catherine Jensen, eighth in the High Jump.

The Men's 4x200m was second while the Women's 4x200m and Men's 4x400m were both sixth.

The Bucs head for the MWC Indoor Championships next Friday and Saturday at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.  Action begins Friday at 3:00 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
