Bucs Open Outdoor Season at North Florida Invite

Jacksonville, FL -- After a week of training, the Beloit College Track & Field team opened their outdoor season over the weekend at the University of North Florida Spring Break Invitational.

Tony Baratti posted the top finish for the Men, finishing fifth in the Javelin with an effort of 172', 10 feet better than his previous personal best. Matt Floyd finished eighth in the Pole Vault with a leap of 12'5.5 for the Men's other meet points.

For the Women, Erika Moen finished fifth in the Discus with a toss of 116'6. Amani Edwards was seventh in the Shot Put with a throw of 37'8.75 for the other Women's top-eigtht finish.

The Women's 4x100m Relay team of Tanishka Armbrister, Erin Chambers, Catherine Jensen and Taylor Jones also scored an eighth-place finish with a time of :52.52.

The Buccaneers have some time off before starting their Northern schedule on Saturday, March 20, at the Augustana College Early Bird in Rock Island, Illinois.
