Chicago, IL -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field teams both went 5-2 at the University of Chicago Duals in Chicago on Saturday.
The Women's squad defeated Chicago State, Elmhurst College, Illinois Tech, North Park and Illinois-Chicago while losing to Depaul University and host University of Chicago.
The Men topped Chicago State, DePaul, Elmhurst, Illinois Tech and North Park and fell to Illinois-Chicago and University of Chicago.
Matt Floyd recorded the team's lone winning effort, taking the Pole Vault.
Also scoring points were Katie Schurr, second in the High Jump; Ellie Daniels, third in the Long Jump; Vince Salucci, fourth in the Triple Jump; Ken Andejeski, fifth in the Triple Jump; Lauren Hall, fifth in the 5000m; Kate Finman, fifth in the Pole Vault; Amani Edwards, sixth in the Shot Put; Taylor Jones, sixth in the Long Jump; Tanishka Armbrister, sixth in the 800m; Anna Edwards, sixth in the 5000m; Daniels, sixth in the High Jump; and Jared Wynne, seventh in the 5000m.
The Women's Distance Medley Relay finished third, the Women's 4x400m Relay fourth, the Men's Distance Medley Relay fifth and the Men's 4x400m seventh.
The Buccaneers are at the Illinois Wesleyan Keck Ecumenical next Saturday. Action begins at 10:00 a.m.
