Beloit College today announced plans to return its track and field program to national prominence (and home competition), add two NCAA Division III lacrosse teams to its varsity sports offerings, and replace its main stadium turf with an artificial surface. Beloit, which will field both men’s and women’s lacrosse squads, will be the first in the Midwest Conference to host the sport at the varsity level, and just the second program in the 14-school Associated Colleges of the Midwest, joining Colorado College.

The recent days of rain plus temps more likely for early February than late March have postponed several scheduled events for Beloit College teams this weekend.

The Beloit College Track & Field team opened their 2011 season at the Coastal Carolina University Invitational on Friday and Saturday following a week of training in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field teams had no change from their Day One standings as the Midwest Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships finished up at Grinnell College on Saturday.  The Women's squad was seventh and the Men's team eighth.

The Beloit College Track & Field teams finished competition on Day 1 at the Midwest Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships with the Women's team in seventh and the Men in eighth.  The meet is taking place at Grinnell College.

The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field teams had their final tune-up for the Midwest Conference Championships at the University of Dubuque Spartan open on Saturday.

The Beloit College Indoor Track team posted five event victories at the non-scoring Knox College Invitational on Saturday.

The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team ran into some very good competition at the Bob Keck Invite at Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday.

Derek Carrier, a junior from Edgerton, Wisconsin, competing for the Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team, has been named the Midwest Conference Field Event Performer of the Week for the week ending January 29.  The Conference Office announced the honor on Tuesday afternoon.

The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team competed at the University of Chicago Duals on Saturday, with the Men finishing 5-3 and the Women 3-6.

The Beloit College Track & Field team got their 2011 Indoor season going on Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Rocky Rococo Invite.

Both the Buccaneer Men's and Women's Track & Field teams finished seventh as Beloit College finished up the 2010 Midwest Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
