    The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team had a good day at the University of Chicago Duals on Saturday, with both the Women and Men going 7-2.

    The Beloit College Track & Field team got their 2012 indoor season going on Saturday, competing at the Carthage College Invite. 

    Going up against a number of ranked teams on both the Women's and Men's sides, the Women finished tenth and the Men 11th.

    Travis Towns, a junior from Janesville, Wisconsin (Edgerton), competing for the Beloit College Track & Field team, has been named the Midwest Conference Field Event Performer of the Week for the week ending April 5.  The Conference Office announced the honor on Tuesday afternoon.

    Beloit College today announced plans to return its track and field program to national prominence (and home competition), add two NCAA Division III lacrosse teams to its varsity sports offerings, and replace its main stadium turf with an artificial surface. Beloit, which will field both men’s and women’s lacrosse squads, will be the first in the Midwest Conference to host the sport at the varsity level, and just the second program in the 14-school Associated Colleges of the Midwest, joining Colorado College.
