Buccaneer Men Jump from 8th to 6th, Women Finish 7th at MWC Swimming & Diving Championships

Appleton, WI -- The Men's team went from eighth to sixth and the Women came in seventh as the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championships came to a close at Lawrence University on Sunday.

Greg Schalla led the Bucs' Sunday performances, finishing fifth in the 1650 Free in 17:31.88, breaking the 2004 record of Ron Sjoberg (17:34.61)

Beth Remington was eighth in the 200 Breast and Gina Widmer ninth to pace the Women's squad.  Paden DuBois finished ninth in the same race for the Men.

Both 400 Free Relay teams closed out the Championships with seventh-place finishes in the 400 Free Relay.  The Women's team was Remington, Haleigh Thomas, Widmer and Nora Holte while the Men's foursome was DuBois, Arthur Staub, Will McAneny and Schalla.
