Appleton, WI -- Day One is in the books at the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, being held at Lawrence University.
The Buccaneer Women stand seventh in the team standings while the Men are eighth.
The Men's 400 Medley Relay had the top finish of the day for Beloit with the foursome of Greg Schalla, Paden Dubois, Will McAneny and Arthur Staub finished sixth.
The Women's 200 Free Relay of Nora Holte, Gina Widmer, Haleigh Thomas and Beth Remington finished seventh, as did the 400 Medley Relay team of Madeline Krass, Remington, Julianne Angeli and Holte.
Individually, Schalla was ninth in the 500 Free and McAneny was ninth in the 50 Free.
Day Two of the Championships begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the prelims. The Finals get started at 5:30 p.m.
