The college will test its emergency alert system on Wednesday (Sept. 2) at 12:30 p.m. As a part of the test, all faculty, staff, and students should receive an email, phone call, and text message at or around the common hour.

Buccaneers Finish 10th, 11th at Grinnell Pioneer Invite

Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team spent the first weekend of December at the 13-team Grinnell College Pioneer Invite, with the Women finishing tenth and the Men 11th.

Nora Holte had the top finish of the meet for the Bucs, taking seventh in the 200 Free.  She also finished tenth in the 100 Free.

Greg Schalla posted four top-15 finishes, swimming ninth in the 1650 Free, 14th in both the 400 IM and 200 Free and 15th in the 500 Free.

Beth Remington was 13th in the 100 Breast and 14th in the 200 Breast.  Julianne Angeli finished 15th in the 200 Fly.

The Women's 200 Free Relay foursome of Remington, Cherrell Phon, Haleigh Thomas and Holte posted the top relay finish for Beloit with a ninth.

Other top-15 relay finishes were turned in by: Women's 400 Free (Holte, Thomas, Remington, Gina Widmer) tenth; Women's 800 Free (Holte, Megan Mason, Remington, Widmer) 11th; Women's 200 Medley (Madeline Krass, Remington, Angeli, Holte) 13th; Women's 400 Medley (Krass, Remington, Angeli, Holte) 14th; and the Men's 800 Free (Will McAneny, Arthur Staub, Ike Watson, Richard Cotter) 15th.

The Buccaneers are now off until Saturday, January 14, when they host Carroll University in Kresge Natatorium at 1:00 p.m.
