Buccaneer Swimming & Diving Takes Their Season-Opening Road Show to Carroll

Waukesha, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team competed in a double-dual at Carroll University on Saturday, with both squads falling to the host-Pioneers and Marquette University.

The Men fell to Carroll 67-28 and to Marquette 47-44.  The Women dropped the duals 64-30 to Carroll and 52-42 to Marquette.

Nora Holte led the Women with a pair of wins, touching first in the 200 and 500 Free.  She also finished second in the 100 Free.

Beth Remington was second in both the 50 Free and 100 Breast.  The 200 Free Relay team of Julianne Angeli, Alicia Hoffman, Cherrelle Phon and Sarah Pyle was also second.

For the Men Greg Schalla and Will McAneny both brought home a pair of second-place finishes.  Schalla was second in the 500 and 1000 Free while McAneny was second in the 50 Free and 100 Fly.

The 200 Free Relay team of Arthur Staub, Richard Cotter, Schalla and McAneny also finished second.

The Buccaneers will host the Hour of Power in support of cancer research on Wednesday in Kresge Natatorium before traveling to Ripon College next Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. dual.
