Beloit, WI -- With a big hand from the honorees themselves, the Beloit College Swimming & Diving team sent the nine seniors out on a high note with a triangular win on Saturday afternoon in Kresge Natatorium.
The Women won with 124 points, followed by Carroll with 72 and Knox with 60. The Men put up 96 points followed by Carroll with 92 and Knox at 49.
Seniors Greta Keister, Yuki Takahashi, Kendall Stauffacher, Aria Walsh-Felz, Connie Meltzer, Ariel Weil, Sam Dueweke, Keith Olson and Patrick Duvall competed in their final home meet.
Leading the Women with first-place finishes were Kate Wolf with season-bests in both the 1650 Free and 100 Breast; Walsh-Felz in the 200 Free; Nora Holte in the 50 Free (season-best) and 100 Free; Meltzer in the 200 Back; and the 200 Free Relay of Wolf, Walsh-Felz, Beth Remington and Holte with a season-best effort.
On the Men's side were firsts by Duvall in the 100 Back (season-best), 50 Free and 500 Free (season-best); Arthur Staub in the 200 Free (season-best) and 100 Free; and Olson with a season-best in the 400 IM.
The Buccaneers now begin preparations for the Midwest Conference Championships, which will be held at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, on February 18-20. Action begins at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
