Appleton, WI -- Both the Beloit College Swimming & Diving Men's and Women's squads finished sixth at the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, held at Lawrence University in Appleton.
Patrick Duvall won his second title of the Championships, and the fifth in his career, when he took the 200 Fly in 1:59.12.
The Women's 400 Free Relay of Marin Matchinske-Brehmer, Kate Parsons, Emily Law and Lauren Jones broke the Beloit record with a time of 3:55.64 while finishing seventh. The old record of 3:56.61 was set in 2005.
The record was the fourth set at this season's Championships, all on the Women's side. Matchinske-Brehmer set the 50 Free record, as did the 200 Free Relay team, on Friday. On Saturday the 800 Free Relay mark fell.
Also finishing in the top eight on Sunday were Gregory Schalla, fifth in the 1650 Free in 17:48.96; Katie Wolf, sixth in the 200 Breast in 2:42.53; and Matchinske-Brehmer, eighth in the 100 Free in :56.86.
The Men's 400 Free Relay of Schalla, Paden Debois, Joe Seidel and Duvall finished sixth in 3:23.25.
