Swimmers Get Back in Water at Carroll

Waukesha, WI -- It's been a long break from competition for the Beloit College Swimming & Diving team. But they got back into the action on Saturday afternoon with a dual at Carroll University.

Carroll won both ends of the meet, with the Women falling 154-70 and the Men 118-99.

For the Men's squad, Patrick Duvall recorded four wins, taking the 100 Fly, 100 Back, 100 Free and 200 IM. Paden Debois got the other Buccaneer win in the 100 Breast.

For the Women, there were no event victories but Marin Matchinske-Brehmer took second in four events - the 100 Fly, 100 Back, 200 IM and 100 Free - while Mandy Lee also had four seconds in the 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Free and 100 IM. Jessie Panks also recorded a second in the 100 Breast.

The Bucs are back in the pool next Saturday when they host Carroll and Ripon College at Boylan High School in Rockford. Action begins at 1:00 p.m.
