Buccaneer Swimmers Fall to Carroll

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving teams had their final pre-holidays home meet in the Kresge Natatorium on Saturday afternoon, with both squads falling to Carroll University in a dual meet.

The Women fell 135-95 while the Men dropped a 112-63 decision.

Marin Matchinske-Brehmer won twice to pace the Women's team, taking the 100 Fly and 50 Free. Her 50 Free time was just .02 off the Beloit record.

Connie Meltzer also won, hitting the pad first in the 200 Back.

For the Men, Paden Debois and Greg Schalla were both double winners, Debois winning the 100 and 200 Breast while Schalla took the 200 and 500 Free.

The Buccaneers are now off through Thanksgiving before traveling to the Augustana College Invite in Rock Island, Illinois, on December 4 and 5, their final action of 2009.
