Andrew Routt

Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach

Andrew RouttAndrew Routt comes to Beloit from Defiance College, in Ohio, where he served as the team’s inaugural Assistant Coach. He served as Defensive Coordinator, Goalie Coach, and coordinated recruiting.

For the past six years, Routt has served as a coach in the Cincinnati Royals program, Southwest Ohio’s leading travel lacrosse club. With the Royals, Routt has helped produce numerous collegiate lacrosse players. He also gained experience working numerous camps throughout the fall and summer, including the Southern Ohio Shootout, the Ohio State Team Camp, Texas 99, and the Team Florida Showcase.

Prior to coaching collegiately, Routt served as Head Coach for a pair of High Schools in the Cincinnati area. Routt also helped found the Dixie Heights High School program in Covington, Kentucky, the first varsity level program in Northern Kentucky.

Routt graduated from Sycamore High School in 2006, having won a state championship in 2004. He went on to play for NCAA Division II Saint Leo University, and later transferred to the University of Cincinnati. Routt continued to play for Cincinnati while launching his coaching career.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Routt graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2010 with a degree in Journalism, and a minor in History. He is working on completing his Master of Arts in Education from Defiance College. He resides in Beloit.
