Head Volleyball Coach
Dawn Redd became the head coach of the Buccaneer Volleyball program prior to the 2007 season. She has led the squad to appearances in the Midwest Conference Tournament every season with Beloit, including earning the #2 seed and advancing to the Championship match in each of the last three seasons. The squad advanced to the NCAA Tournament as MWC Tournament Champions in 2010.
Redd earned MWC Co-Coach of the Year honors in 2008. In three seasons, she has coached eight All-MWC players, including six First-Teamers, and 14 All-MWC Academic players.
Redd came to Beloit from St. John's School in Houston, Texas, where she was the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Track & Field and Soccer Coach. During her tenure at St. John's, she transformed the Volleyball squad from a team that just got in to post-season play to the top-seeded team this past season, posting the best record in the history of the program at the school.
Prior to St. John's, Redd was the Head Volleyball Coach for four seasons at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, leading the team into the ECAC Tournament in her final season. She was also a Volleyball and Athletic Development Intern at Princeton University for one season, assisting both the women's and men's NCAA Tournament teams.
A 1997 graduate of Wisconsin, she earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in English. A walk-on for the Badger Volleyball team, she earned a full athletic scholarship in her second season and was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
