Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach
Kevin Braun joined the Buccaneer Men’s Basketball coaching staff prior to the 2007-08 season when Brian Vraney became the head coach.
Also an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Beloit, Braun played for the Bucs from 1995-99 under both Bill Knapton and Cecil Youngblood and was a four-year letterwinner. He played in 29 games during his Buccaneer career, scoring 36 points with 52 rebounds. He earned the Johnny Orr Leadership Award and the Coaches Award following his senior season.
A native of McPherson, Kansas, he graduated from Beloit in 1999 and earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Arizona in 2005. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of North Carolina from 2005-07 before returning to his Alma Mater.
