Peggy Carl Director of Athletics (608) 363-2296 Carl was named Beloit’s Director of Athletics on August 6, 2008. She came to Beloit from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, where she served as the Associate Director of Athletics and the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach. A graduate of Whittier College in physical education with a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota, Carl also holds an M.B.A. from the University of California at Irvine. She began her coaching career at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she was Head Women’s Swimming Coach. She joined the athletic department at Occidental in 1990 as the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach and took on additional administrative responsibilities over the past two decades, serving as Business Manager and later as Associate Director. In 1996, she served as the Logistics Coordinator for Swimming at the Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was responsible for elements of the aquatic venue and the training of staff. In March of 2008, she served as the Assistant Director of the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Oxford, Ohio. |
