Coach DeGeorge is in his 18th season at the helm for the Buccaneers in 2007.
A 1989 graduate of Beloit College, DeGeorge easily has recorded more victories in his career than any other coach in the college’s long baseball history. In fact, entering this season, he has three times as many victories as anyone and nearly 47% of Beloit’s total victory count on the baseball diamond.
Under his tenure, almost every individual and school record has been established, and 39 of his players have been named to first team All-Midwest Conference squads. Beloit has advanced to the MWC Tournament four times under DeGeorge’s guidance, finishing second in 1995. In 1996, the Buccaneers opened the season with a 7-3 record and were ranked 24th in the country by the American Collegiate Baseball Coaches Association. They finished with a school best 20-10 record.
DeGeorge has developed and operates the Buccaneer Baseball Camp for talented high school players. He also is an assistant football coach.
