How did you find out about Beloit? Did you know a lot about Beloit when you first visited campus?
“I found out about Beloit from the Basketball Coach at the time. When I visited Beloit, I didn’t know anything about it.”
We are focusing a lot on Liberal Arts in Practice at Beloit; so as part of what you practice(d) name one aspect that you took away(will take) from being a Beloit student-athlete that you use in your everyday life.
“I will take away the ability to work as a team; take charge when needed but also the willingness to listen to others.”
What (if any) accolades did you receive (Academically/Athletically) while being a student-athlete?
“I have made Dean’s List and All-Conference Academic team every semester. I was MWC (Midwest Conference) North First Team All-Conference Softball player my sophomore and junior seasons. My junior year I was an NFCA All-American scholar athlete and was the Jannsen Junior Award Recipient.”
If you could name one class or professor (mentor) that really meant something to you while at Beloit, who or what would that be?
“Professor Brock Spencer has been my academic advisor for the past three years. He was very instrumental in helping me find summer internships and applying to Graduate School.”
Name one of the most rewarding experiences you took part in while at Beloit College?
“My most rewarding experience at Beloit was getting an internship at Argonne National Lab and presenting my research at the American Chemical Society Convention in Anaheim, California.”
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? - Name a career goal/aspiration you strive for.
“In five years, I see myself finishing my PhD in Chemistry, and looking for a position as head researcher at a national lab or University.”
“In ONE word I would sum up Beloit College as- Unique.”
