
Ripon, WI – Katy Sandt, a senior pitcher for the Beloit College Softball team from Lake Crystal, Minnesota (Wellcome Memorial), earned a spot on the 2012 All-Midwest Conference Softball team in a vote of league coaches. The Conference Office released the team today.
Sandt, who earned her first All-MWC honor, finished her career as Beloit’s all-time leader in strikeouts with 475. She owns three of the top four single-season strikeout totals, including her 128 this season, which ranks third. She finished 2012 with a 6-14 overall record and a 3.18 ERA in 25 appearances covering 141 innings. She also had three shutouts. Her 29 career wins ranks fourth all-time.
The Bucs finished 2012 with a 9-24 overall record, 3-5 in MWC play.
