Naperville, IL -- The Beloit College Softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader at North Central College on Thursday, falling 8-1 and 8-0.

Fielding was an issue for Beloit in game one, with four errors leading to five unearned runs for the Cardinals.  NCC scored three in the first, all earned, one in the third unearned and four in the fourth, all unearned.

The Buccaneers got their lone run in the second inning when Kandace Fox, who singled to start the inning, came around to score an unearned run.

Fox, Kourtney Kingslien and Emily Dorjath got hits for the Bucs.

In game two, North Central scored twice in the first but then were held at bay until they exploded for five runs in the fifth.  They ended the game early with an unearned run in the sixth.

Fox had a double while Tara Grode and Kingslien singled for the Buccaneer hits.

Beloit returns home on Sunday to host Eureka College for Friends & Family Day.  First pitch is at 12:00 noon.
