Four Buccaneer Softball players from the 2010 squad recently received the Girls Got Game/NFCA Scholar-Athletes 2009-10 award.
Senior outfielder Nicole Oddo, junior outfielder Tess Jacquez, sophomore first baseman McKenzie Falker and sophomore catcher Sarah Stariha were recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as All-America Scholar Athletes.
The award goes to players who have at least a 3.50 grade point average. The 2010 Beloit College Softball team was named an NFCA Division III All-Academic Team with a team GPA of 3.015 for the year.
The Bucs, under fourth-year head coach Kim Zarling, open their 2011 season at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida on March 6.
