Bucs Finish 5th, 8th at Carroll Invite

Waukesha, WI -- The Beloit College Track & Field team continued the early stages of their outdoor season on Saturday at the Carroll University Invite.  The Women's team placed fifth and the Men's eighth.

Felicia Carlson did what she does best again - win - taking both the 100m and 200m to lead the Women's squad.  Matt Kreiser's fifth-place finish in the 400m Hurdles led the Men.

Also earning points for the Women were Ellie Waddle, fourth in the 1500m; Sara DeLong, sixth in the 1500m; CJ Cochran, seventh in the 400m; and Sian Cunningham, eighth in the Pole Vault.  The 4x100m Relay team of Cochran, Ariel Yang, Cunningham and Angie Earley finished third.

Scoring points on the Men's side were Crit Stanley, sixth in the Pole Vault; Mateo Lauersdorf, sixth in the Javelin; Josh Litofsky, seventh in the 10000m; Ethan Ley, seventh in the 3000m Steeplechase; and Jacob Gray, eighth in the 3000m Steeplechase.  The 4x100m Relay of Apolus Anderson, Bennet Anderson, Alfred Battle and Antonio Jones finished fifth.

The Buccaneers head to Illinois next Saturday for the Benedictine University Eagle Invite in Lisle.  Action begins at 11:00 a.m.
